Federal Stafford Student Loan Borrowers
READ THIS TO COMPLETE YOUR STAFFORD LOAN
MASTER PROMISSORY NOTE (MPN)
Students awarded Stafford loan(s) can complete and sign their MPN on-line. This needs to be done before you can receive student loan funds. A PIN number is not required.
Requirements to complete your Master Promissory Note (MPN) on-line are:
- A computer with internet access
- Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4.01 or greater
- Browsers; Netscape 4.08 - 4.72 or MS Internet Explorer 4.01 SP 1 or
greater
- A working printer
To complete your MPN on-line just follow the steps below:
- Click on the box titled USA Funds On-Line Loan Application (MPN)
- Input your Social Security Number (i.e., 000-000-0000) and birth Date
(i.e., mm/dd/yyyy) then click on “Start the Application Process”
- Closely follow the instructions throughout the process. Be sure to click “Submit” after you print your promissory note.
POINTERS:
- You will need to provide two (2) references. Family member are suggested. The two references must have different addresses and must have a working phone number.
- You will be printing out 9 pages in total, page 8 is the MPN. If you E-Sign your MPN, you will keep all pages for your records, if you did not E-Sign your MPN you need to sign, date and mail page 8. The address
to mail your signed MPN is on page 1.
- If you encounter any problems or cannot complete the process, please click “Save for Later”.
